Sheldon Brigman’s career in entertainment spans over 20 years.  During that time, he has engaged in all aspects of entertainment including development, production and distribution in both the domestic and foreign markets.   Brigman’s vast experience in IP acquisition, brand management, retail/consumer marketing, supply chain, physical and digital distribution has allowed him to develop extensive expertise in all aspects of acquiring, managing and releasing entertainment content. ​

Prior to Vega Baby Releasing, Brigman co-founded the distribution company Level 33 Entertainment.  The company's exclusive distribution partners were Millennium Media Services/Sony DADC and Entertainment One Canada.  At Level 33, Brigman managed and oversaw the company’s acquisitions efforts, business affairs, marketing and sales directives.  He guided the acquisition, marketing and release of over 30 feature films into the domestic marketplace via multi-city theatrical release, DVD, Digital and Cable VOD platforms.  Some of the company’s releases include “Exit Strategy” with comedian Kevin Hart, “Divorce Invitation” starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Elliott Gould and Lanie Kazan, “Vamp U” starring Gary Cole, Julia Gonzalo and Alexis Knapp, “Scouts Honor” starring Chris Kattan and Fred Willard, Build-A-Bear's "Holly & Hal Moose" and the critically acclaimed documentary “The Elephant in the Living Room”.  

 

​Prior to Level 33, Brigman owned and operated Spy Filmz, a Producer’s Rep and distribution consulting company who brokered countless distribution deals and provided consulting services to entertainment companies such as Bold Films, Slamdance Media Group and National Lampoon.  

 

​Brigman has also held the executive positions such as Director of Home Video for the PAX TV Network and Vice President of Acquisitions for global independent distribution company Ventura Distribution International.    Key acquisitions included “Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends” produced by Clint Eastwood, “The Kids In the Hall: The Pilot”, “Saturday Night Live: The Best of Mike Meyers”, “Saturday Night Live: The Best of John Belushi”, “Joe Rogan: Live”, “Zach Galifianakis: Live From the Purple Onion”, Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and the children's classic “Where the Wild Things Are”.

 

Brigman's experience as a development executive includes serving as the Manager of Development at Paramount Pictures based Magic Lantern Films for legendary producer Howard Kazanjian ("Raiders of the Lost Ark", “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi", "The Empire Strikes Back"), Director of Development of ABC Pictures based Gaslight Pictures and as a Creative Executive for the busy Canadian production company Minds Eye Pictures.  In all of these positions, he sourced, acquired and developed literary material from agents and managers. 

 

Brigman’s hands-on production experience includes serving as a Production Coordinator and Assistant Director in both television and feature films as well starting his career in Hollywood in the production department at Paramount Pictures.  During his time at Paramount he worked production on several shows including “Fraiser”, “Entertainment Tonight”, “Wings”, "Ellen" and “The Leeza Gibbons Show”.
