A scion of the industrial Risjad family, Rizal carries forward a legacy of entrepreneurial success. His father, late tycoon Ibrahim Risjad—once considered among Indonesia’s most influential business figures—helped shape Rizal’s global outlook and business acumen.

 

In real estate and infrastructure, Rizal is instrumental in guiding Risjadson Land, a trusted construction and property development company known for pioneering sustainable, modern building methods in Southeast Asia  . His investment portfolio includes growth-stage ventures and significant transactions in natural resources—e.g., his stake in a major Indonesian mining operation valued in the hundreds of millions dollars.

 

Beyond commerce, Rizal is a committed philanthropist. He has championed initiatives focused on education, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation, supporting community-building efforts across Asia.

 

In 2010, Rizal acquired a pristine vineyard in California’s Santa Ynez Valley and founded Brave & Maiden Estate Winery. Since its inaugural 2011 vintage, the estate has grown into a distinguished single-vineyard producer known for crafting premium Rhône- and Bordeaux-style wines under the stewardship of acclaimed winemakers such as Paul Hobbs and Josh Klapper.
